Turn off marketing preferences in the app

You can turn off marketing preferences in the app in about 1–2 minutes. This guide covers both Android and iPhone (iOS) devices and shows two places to check:

  • In-app marketing preferences (email, SMS, promotional push notifications, personalized offers)
  • Device-level notification settings (if you want to stop push notifications completely)

Important: Turning off marketing preferences will stop promotional messages, but it won't stop order confirmations, delivery updates, or important account messages.

Quick summary (fast route)

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile (or More) → Settings → Marketing & Notifications.
  3. Toggle off the items you don't want (Emails, SMS, Promotional Pushes, Personalized Ads).
  4. To fully stop push alerts, also turn off Notifications in your phone's system Settings (steps below).

For Android users

Follow these steps to turn off marketing messages from inside the app and, if desired, stop push notifications at the system level.

A. Turn off marketing in the app

  1. Open the app and make sure you're signed in.
  2. Tap Profile (or the person icon) in the bottom navigation (or top corner).
  3. Select Settings (or Account settings).
  4. Tap Marketing & Notifications (sometimes labeled Communication Preferences).
  5. You’ll see switches for:
  • Promotional emails
  • SMS offers
  • Push notifications (promotions)
  • Personalised ads
  1. Tap each switch to turn off the items you don't want.
  2. Changes save automatically — you can close the app when you're done.

Tips:

  • If you get a confirmation email after changing preferences, you can save it for records — or ignore it, if you like peace and quiet.

B. Turn off push notifications at device level (Android)

If you want to stop all push notifications from the app (including promotions), do this:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications (or Apps).
  3. Find and tap the QuickEats / Food Delivery app in the list.
  4. Tap Notifications.
  5. Toggle off Allow notifications (or toggle off individual notification channels such as Promotions, Offers, or General).

Note: Exact menu names may vary slightly by device manufacturer or Android version.

For iPhone (iOS) users

You can stop marketing messages inside the app and also control push notifications in iOS Settings.

A. Turn off marketing in the app

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Tap Profile (or More) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Go to Settings → Marketing & Notifications (or Communication preferences).
  4. Toggle off:
  • Promotional emails
  • SMS offers
  • Promotional push notifications
  • Personalized ads
  1. Your changes save automatically.

B. Turn off push notifications at device level (iOS)

To stop push notifications from the app entirely:

  1. Open the iPhone Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap the QuickEats / Food Delivery app.
  3. Tap Notifications.
  4. Toggle off Allow Notifications — or customize which types of app notifications you receive (Badges, Sounds, Banners).

Optional: To stop app-based tracking used for personalized ads, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and toggle off "Allow Apps to Request to Track" (or disable tracking for the specific app).

If you want to opt out of emails or SMS immediately

  • Email: Open any promotional email from us and tap the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom — it usually processes within a day.
  • SMS: Reply with the word STOP to most marketing SMS messages (follow the instructions in the message) or change SMS preferences inside the app (Profile → Settings → Marketing & Notifications).

What changes when you turn marketing off

  • You will no longer receive promotional emails, SMS, or promotional push notifications.
  • You will still receive:
    • Order confirmations
    • Delivery updates
    • Refunds, account/security alerts, and other transactional messages
  • You may still see generic app banners or in-app messages about features — these are not always considered "marketing" and may still appear.

Troubleshooting & next steps

  • Still seeing promotions? Wait 24–48 hours for changes to fully propagate.
  • If notifications persist after turning them off in both the app and your device settings:
    • Restart your phone.
    • Make sure you’re signed in to the correct account.
    • Update the app to the latest version.
  • Want everything removed and help from a person? Contact Support (Profile → Help → Contact us) or email support@quickeats.example (replace with your app’s support address).
